Learning shortcuts without frustration

A hotkey trainer app exists at bar-hotkeys.vercel.app that walks you through grid build hotkeys. Use it if you want structured practice. The most common hotkeys like wind turbines, solars, and light laser towers come into muscle memory naturally through repeated play.

For command hotkeys like F for fight-move and H for patrol, there is no shortcut. Just use them in every game until your fingers remember.

Energy efficiency reference

Community-maintained spreadsheets track energy building efficiencies, fusion versus advanced fusion payback periods including energy generated during construction, and wind versus tide comparisons. These charts help you plan energy infrastructure around available resources on any map.

Getting your game reviewed

To get a mentor to review your game, name a thread in the Academy chat with Team Size, Map, Your Name, and what you want checked. Drop the replay link from the BAR website. Public matches are saved there automatically. Private matches need to be shared from your local demos folder. Mentors review threads when they have availability.
