BAR keybinds, bot versus vehicle matchups, and T1 air scout economics
Beyond All Reason uses different keybind schemes that affect unit tracking and targeting. Players switching between Legacy and Grid layouts frequently lose their expected controls.

Tracking unit keybind
The track unit command defaults to the T key on Legacy keybind layout. Grid layout does not include this keybind by default. Players who switch from Legacy to Grid lose unit tracking unless they rebind it manually through settings and controls configuration. Checking the keybind editor after any layout swap prevents this issue.
Bots versus vehicles
Bot factions generally hold advantages over vehicle compositions at equal player skill. When a vehicle player outperforms a bot player, skill difference often explains the result rather than faction strength. Vehicle units excel on open maps with long sightlines and minimal terrain obstacles. Bots perform better on mixed terrain where positional advantages and terrain utilization matter more than raw speed.
T1 air scout cost and splash value
T1 air scouts cost metal and energy that some players consider steep for their damage output. Experienced users accept the cost because scouts provide vision, reveal builds, and certain variants carry splash damage that deletes groups of light fighters efficiently. Two T1 scout worth of resources that eliminates ten to twenty enemy fighters represents a positive trade. The key insight involves targeting clustered units rather than isolated picks.
