Do Players Still Get Nuked in BAR and How to Defend Against It
Nuclear strikes remain a game-ending threat in Beyond All Reason. The reason players get nuked is rarely complexity. They simply fail to build the defense when they should.

Why players still get nuked
BAR nuclear exchanges come down to a simple mechanic: if anti-nuke defenses exist, most strikes fail. Players who get nuked usually did not build anti-nukers in time, ran them without adequate coverage, or forgot to rebuild defenses after an enemy counter-nuke took theirs out.
Anti-nuke interceptors fire automatically when a nuclear projectile enters range. A single anti-nuke station covers a substantial radius around it. On large maps, players need layered coverage to protect critical infrastructure like metal extractors, factories, and commander positions. Running zero anti-nukes while your opponent runs them means every nuclear launch is a game-ender against you.
Building nuclear defense properly
The key is prioritization. Anti-nukers do not feel immediately necessary during a land fight, which is exactly when the opponent starts building their own nuke. Treat anti-nuke construction the same way you treat shield generators: it is not optional defensive infrastructure, it is insurance against a match loss.
A reasonable checklist:
- Build one anti-nuke station as soon as T2 infrastructure is stable
- Add a second anti-nuke when the opponent shows nuclear capability
- Place anti-nukers near high-value targets, not evenly spaced across empty territory
- Rebuild immediately after a counter-nuke destroys your defense
- Coordinate with teammates in team games so coverage overlaps without redundant duplication
Finding a BAR clan for organized play
BAR has an active clan ecosystem that recruits players at all levels. Established clans offer structured practice sessions, team match organization, and coordinated strategy development. For newer players, joining a clan accelerates learning faster than solo queue play because teammates communicate and share build order knowledge.
Beyond All Reason communities including Creed of Champions welcome players across skill ranges. Clan recruitment typically happens through community channels. Look for groups that match your play style preferences and available time zones.
The Creed of Champions approach
Creed of Champions runs the kind of organized team environment where nuclear strategy gets attention. Members coordinate build priorities together in matches, including anti-nuke coverage planning for their entire alliance.
