What Resource Efficiency Means in BAR

The resource efficiency award at the end of a BAR match confuses a lot of players. Here is what it actually measures and how to improve your score.

How the award works

Resource efficiency is roughly your team's damage output divided by your share of resources used. Put another way, it measures how effectively you converted metal and energy into actual impact on the battlefield.

A player who builds a huge army that sits idle will score poorly. A player who spends resources on units that deal damage, take objectives, or support teammates will score well. The metric rewards active contribution over passive hoarding.

Improving your rating

If you are stuck in lower rating brackets, the easiest gains come from doing fewer things better. Focus on two or three responsibilities per game. Execute them cleanly. Expand your scope as your mechanics improve.

Replay reviews help immensely. Posting a replay for someone to review gives you specific feedback on where you wasted resources and what to change. Players at around OS 8 who want to climb should prioritize replay review over grinding more games.

Where your settings live

Your in-game settings are stored in the LuaUI/Config folder. Blueprints are probably there too. Save your uikeys.txt file if you have custom keybindings. If something breaks after an update, knowing where these files live means you can restore your setup quickly.

Creed of Champions
