How to Report Players and Learn From Spectating in BAR
Step-by-step guide to reporting problematic players via the BAR server website, plus tips on using spectator mode to build decision-making skills and build order muscle memory.
Reporting a player in BAR
If you run into a toxic or cheating player, the report process runs through the server website. Go to server4.beyondallreason.info/battle and find the match. Open the Players tab and click the report button next to the offending user.
You can also search for a player by name on the relationships search page. One bug to watch for: do not press Enter in the search field. It is broken and will return no results. Just click away or use the search button after typing the name.
Reports get reviewed by server moderators. Keep your report factual and include what happened. Staff can pull the replay to verify claims.
Building decision-making skills through spectating
Spectating stronger players is one of the most effective ways to build decision-making speed and build order familiarity. Watch how experienced players lay out their base, when they pull workers to make scout units, and how they transition between army compositions. Pick one thing to focus on per spectator session.
This practice is not about copying blindly. It is about noticing patterns and asking why a player made each move. Over time these observations become instincts. Your APM will not spike overnight, but the decisions behind the clicks will get sharper.
