Getting access to BAR development channels

The BAR community channel has a hidden development section. Open the role assignment panel by clicking the customize option, then select the Development Role. The entire development category unlocks immediately.

Keep bug reports in the bug channel and suggestions in the suggestions channel. Read pinned messages first. Most questions have already been answered there.

Engine slow update and factory tick loops

The Spring engine uses a SlowUpdate system that distributes heavy calculations across staggered tick loops. Factories and nano structures operate on these 30-tick loops. If factory queues seem delayed or nano turrets fire inconsistently, this engine behavior is the cause. It is normal and not a bug.

Playing on small flat maps

The map browser filters by size and player count. Sort by either to find compact flat metal maps quickly.

For even smaller games on a large map, use the no-rush option. Overlap both spawn boxes on your desired area and set the maximum no-rush timer. Both players stay locked inside their boxes until time expires. This works great for quick 1v1 skirmishes on otherwise massive terrain.
