How to Report Players in Beyond All Reason
Sometimes a match crosses the line. Cheating, griefing, abusive behavior. BAR has reporting tools built into the server website, and knowing how to use them takes thirty seconds. Here is the process.
Reporting through the server website
Go to server4.beyondallreason.info/battle and find your match. Click the Players tab. Each player listed there has a report option next to their name. Select it, fill in the details, and submit. The server staff review these reports and take action.
You can also look up players by name on the relationships page at server4.beyondallreason.info/account/relationship/search. Type the name, wait a moment for results. Do not press Enter. The search field has a bug that breaks on Enter. Just wait for the autocomplete.
From the search results, you can report the player there too. This is useful if the battle page failed to load or you do not remember the match details but know the player's name.
Game economy and build incentives
BAR's economy system creates tension between unit production and metal/energy storage. Many players default to unit spam because it feels active and visible. Porcupine strategy, sometimes called "porc" in chat, emphasizes defensive fortification and slow economic growth.
Both approaches are viable. The meta discussion about units versus economy plays out in every bracket. Lower-rated games see more unit spam because it works without deep economic understanding. Higher-rated games balance both. The game does not enforce one path over the other.
If you want to climb, study the economy builds. Unit spam gets you through the low ranks and hits a wall. Economic foundations win the mirror matchups that define the mid and high brackets.
Learning resources
BAR has dedicated channels for new players asking questions. The game has complexity that warrants guided learning, and the community has structured spaces set up specifically for teaching. Mentors run regular sessions covering builds, map control, and decision-making.
Watch BAR gameplay content online to pick up build orders and strategic thinking from experienced players. Seeing a strategy executed in real time teaches more than reading about it. The game's pace is punishing if you play blind. Guided learning shortcuts months of trial and error.
Keep the community clean
Reporting is not about punishing every mistake. It is about removing the people who intentionally ruin matches for others. Use the tools. Describe the behavior factually. Let staff handle judgment. A clean report with specific details gets acted on fast. Emotional rants get dismissed.
Creed of Champions
BAR rewards players who learn, adapt, and lift each other up. Report bad actors when necessary, invest in your own skill, and contribute to a community where everyone can grow without toxicity getting in the way. That is the standard.
"Creed of Champions rekindled my joy in Beyond All Reason. I had burned out on the game, and the friendly, no-toxicity environment caused me to start enjoying it again."
