Understanding lobby filters, lore recaps, and countering entrenched positions without air in BAR

Three practical topics for BAR players: how lobby search filters work, where to find summaries of lore drops, and what to do when ground forces cannot crack a defensive position.

Why you cannot find certain lobbies in search

The lobby browser in BAR has filter settings that can hide matches you might want to join. If your search returns zero results but you know games are running, check your active filters. Common culprits include maximum player count filters, skill range filters, and gamemode filters that exclude the type of match you are looking for. Clearing filters and doing a fresh search is the fastest fix.

Finding lore drop recaps

BAR occasionally releases lore additions through community announcements and Discord channels. If you miss a live drop, ask in the server whether someone posted a summary or recap. The community often pins important announcements for people who could not attend. The official website will eventually host all lore entries with an interactive map, but community channels are the fastest current source for recaps.

Cracking entrenched positions without air power

Not every player invests in air, but every player faces enemies who dig in with static defenses. If you find yourself unable to push through a fortified position without going full air, consider these ground-based approaches: use long-range artillery (Tix) with forward spotters to pick apart defensive structures before advancing, flank through unexplored map edges where defenses are thinner, and use fast raiders to harass the enemy economy so they must pull metal away from building turrets. Air is the most direct solution but it is not the only one.
