Where to report BAR bugs and common support questions answered
Quick answers on filing bug reports, checking known issues, and a few frequently asked questions from newer players.
Report bugs through github issues
Beyond All Reason tracks bugs and problems through GitHub Issues. That is where the developers actually see reports and start tracking fixes. Posting in random Discord channels does not reliably reach the people who need to see it.
There are separate repositories for different parts of the project:
- Lobby and launcher: BYAR-Chobby issues
- Game itself: Beyond-All-Reason issues
- Engine-level bugs: Spring engine issues
Before opening a new issue, check whether someone already reported the same thing. Duplicate reports slow things down rather than speeding them up. Include your platform, game version, and steps to reproduce if you can.
Browsing the existing issue list is also useful — your problem might already have a known workaround.
Frequently asked support questions
Are low elo tournaments available in BAR?
Lower-rated competitive events do happen from time to time. They are not scheduled on a fixed calendar, so the best approach is keeping an eye on community announcements and asking around when new tournaments are being organized. Some community-run events specifically design brackets or separate divisions for newer and lower-rated players.
Where is the BAR merchandise store?
The merch store has been temporarily unavailable while the team searched for a better supplier. Previous runs ran into quality and fulfillment problems, so the store went dark rather than shipping subpar products. Check the official BAR website or community announcements for updates on when it comes back online.
Quick troubleshooting checklist
When something breaks in Beyond All Reason, walk through these steps before filing anything:
- Check the GitHub issue trackers — your bug might already be reported with a workaround listed.
- Update to the latest version — many problems resolve themselves after a patch drops.
- Note your exact situation — map name, game mode, what you were doing when the issue appeared. This saves time if a maintainer asks for details.
- Restart the lobby and launcher — a surprising number of odd lobby issues clear with a clean restart.
Most common problems have been seen before. Working through existing reports usually gets you a faster answer than waiting on a fresh issue to get triaged.
Play better, find help easier
Beyond All Reason rewards players who take time to understand how things work under the surface. Knowing where to look for answers is part of that. The same mindset carries into games — reading the board, communicating clearly, and keeping your head when things go sideways. That is where we aim to play. For folks looking for a group that values clean communication and mutual improvement over blame, Creed of Champions runs a competitive environment built on exactly those habits. Better teammates, better games.
