A heavily armored Hover unit used as the main battle tank of the Aliens. Equipped with a special super heated laser said to be as hot as a star. The Flare is one of the Alien faction's clearest identity units.

Strengths

What this unit does well

  • Heavy armor plus hover access is extremely hard to answer cleanly.
  • Burn effects hurt both units and the ground they stand on.
  • Can operate on ice and cross water.

  • Slow and expensive.
  • Powered-down state cuts both damage and battlefield awareness.
  • Needs the right lane to justify its cost.

How Aliens should use it

Use Flares to create a no-go zone. They are best when you want the map itself to punish the enemy for staying in front of them.
