How to coordinate pushes and reclaim wind and solar in BAR

Two essential skills every BAR player needs: pushing at the right time and cleaning up the map efficiently.

Coordinated pushes beat solo attacks every time

New players hear "push" from teammates and assume it means going all in with everything on the map. That approach bleeds metal. A good push works because your teammates apply pressure elsewhere simultaneously.

The real trick is locking down your lane enemy so they cannot divert units to counter your ally's attack two maps across. Even if your own push does not kill anything, you created the opening. Multiple angles at once make it extremely hard for the enemy to respond.

Reclaim clusters without clicking each building

Scattered wind turbines and solar panels litter most maps after a skirmish. Reclaiming them by hand is slow. Hold Alt and drag over the cluster. Your constructors grab everything inside the drag box.

Position your cursor above the structures you want to reclaim. If nothing happens, check your altitude. The reclaim brush needs to be over the actual models.

Formation movement for mixed unit groups

Different move speeds cause units to scatter when ordered together. Hold Ctrl and right-click on your destination. Selected units move in a set formation at the speed of the slowest unit. This keeps your front line intact.

Putting it together

Good BAR players think about coordination before army size. A smaller force hitting at the same moment as your teammate does more damage than your full army arriving alone. Clean up the aftermath with Alt-drag reclaim, move your next force in formation, repeat.
