How to Get Your BAR Replays Reviewed by a Mentor
Step-by-step instructions for submitting replays and getting feedback that improves your gameplay.
Submitting a replay for review
Beyond All Reason automatically saves replays to the BAR replay database at beyondallreason.info/replays. Unless you mark a match as private, every game you play gets uploaded and linked to your in-game name. That replay page is the starting point for mentorship requests.
Where to post your replay
To get a reviewed, you create a thread in the appropriate community channel and drop your replay link there. Include your in-game name if it differs from your account handle. This creates a ticket-like system where mentors can review your match when time allows. No response comes instantly, but mentors work through the queue.
Making the most of replay review
When you submit a replay, note what you were trying to do in the match. Mentors provide better feedback when they understand your thought process. Was the plan to rush, boom, or play a specific build order? Sharing that context helps reviewers pinpoint where the plan broke down rather than guessing.
Lobby kickouts and temporary restrictions
Getting removed from a lobby sometimes leaves you unable to see games or chat momentarily. This can happen during automated enforcement of lobby rules. A client restart typically clears the state and restores normal visibility.
Creed of Champions
Replay review means opening your mistakes to strangers. Finding a community where mentors respond with patience and constructive criticism makes the whole process far less intimidating.
Creed of Champions is a great place to learn and play BAR in a friendly atmosphere. Training sessions, team gameplay, even some non-BAR stuff. Large cross section of abilities, time zones, and game mode interests.
